Death is a grim subject for many people, but one we must all face, eventually. There is a thin barrier between life and death, just one small subtle thing can propel you through this barrier and what was once very thin now becomes impenetrable.
But what is death; biologically it is when the brain ceases to function, the heart stops beating and our body is set into state of rigor mortis, already beginning to decay. And the darkness takes over.
But what of the soul, if one believes in such a thing, does it die too; this invisible thing inside us all that allows us to feel emotion, this thing that has no brain or heart or body, just emotion; can it die? Or does it leave the body after death, and if so to do what? Does it travel to an invisible place somewhere in the world, or even the galaxy perhaps? By some chance it may even travel in some time not of our own, and if so how? How does an invisible carrier of emotion move with no heart, brain or body?
Another theory as to why it would leave the body would be to find another, newborn host, whether it be human, animal or even microscopic being. But if this was so does that mean we carry around borrowed souls, borrowed emotions? But surely there are too many people, animals or microscopic beings in this world for there to be only borrowed souls, there must be new souls as well. But from whence do new souls come?
But this is yet to explain death; as we know it. Death can come at any time, in any way, to any one.
